The Government of Spain has called for a minute of silence after the confirmation as a case of gender violence of the murder of a woman in Asturias on January 31, an act that the Government Delegation in the Canary Islands has joined today before the main facade of all its island headquarters.
The Government delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, and the Government subdelegate in Las Palmas, Teresa Mayans, have observed the minute of silence at the headquarters of the Government Delegation in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
For his part, the deputy delegate of the Government in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Javier Plata, has observed the minute of silence before the City Council of the capital of Tenerife, accompanied, among others, by its mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez.
