The Government of Spain has called for a minute of silence after the confirmation as a case of gender violence of the murder of a woman in Murcia, an act that the Delegation of the Government in the Canary Islands has joined today before the main facade of all its island headquarters.
The Government delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, and the Government subdelegate in Las Palmas, Teresa Mayans, have observed the minute of silence at the headquarters of the Government Delegation, accompanied by the delegate councilor for Equality, Diversity, Citizen Participation and District Ciudad Alta of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Betsaida González.
For his part, the deputy delegate of the Government in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Javier Plata, has observed the minute of silence at the headquarters of the Subdelegation of the Government, accompanied by the mayor of the capital of Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez.
