The Official State Gazette has published today the Resolution of April 18, 2024 of the General Directorate of Legal Security and Public Faith, which grants the effective entry into service of the DICIREG computer application in the Civil Registry Offices of the Judicial Party of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, for the operation of the same in accordance with the provisions contained in Law 20/2011, of July 21, of the Civil Registry.
This Resolution establishes the entry into service of DICIREG, the digital information system of the Civil Registry, in the General Office of the Civil Registry of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and in the collaborating office of the Civil Registry belonging to its judicial party of El Rosario from 00.00 hours on May 20, 2024.
DICIREG is the platform adapted to the new model of Civil Registry, on which the files are processed by electronic means, all the facts related to the civil status of the people who must access the Registry are registered, the advertising of the registration information in digital format is organized and the telematic access to it, with respect to citizenship, is made possible through its electronic identification.
It is an information system that implements the electronic Civil Registry, in compliance with Law 20/2011, of July 21, of the Civil Registry, which provides a model of Civil Registry that is characterized mainly by being public, free, unique for the whole of Spain and that is cofigured as electronic and interoperable.
The fourth transitional provision of that law established a progressive deployment of the new model of the Civil Registry, deployment that began in September 2021 with the effective entry into service of the DICIREG computer application in the first Office, since the reform operated by Law 6/2021, of April 28, amending Law 20/2011 established a proactive strategy for such progressive implementation.
