A total of 342 members of the State Security Forces (FCSE) are part of the mechanism established to guarantee security during the Informal Meeting of Ministers of Health of the European Union held today in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria within the framework of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
This FCSE device, for which a Coordination Center (CECOR) has been established in the National Police Superior Headquarters and which was addressed during a meeting presided over by the Government delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, on the 20th, is composed of 300 National Police agents and 42 Civil Guard agents.
Among the National Police units that make up this device, whose mission is to guarantee the security and normal development of the scheduled events, are the Police Intervention Unit (UIP), the Subsoil and Environmental Protection Unit, the Canine Guides Unit and also TEDAX-NRBQ and reinforcements of the central units.
For its part, the Civil Guard, responsible, among others, for security in the transfers of the different delegations and from the area that borders the territorial sea, as well as for the strengthening of security surveillance at airports, has included in the device units of the Subsector of Traffic, Cinological Service and GEDEX Intervention of Arms and Explosives and of the Maritime Service, among others.
The meeting of this July 28, which had on its agenda as main issues the digitization of the health system, the improvement of mental health and strategic autonomy in the field of medicines and health equipment, is held in the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in the capital of Gran Canaria.
