The Government Delegation in Asturias organizes this Wednesday, December 3, at the Palacio de los Condes de Toreno the talk-colloquium ‘Spanish democracy. No time in the past was better’, moderated by writer, screenwriter and cultural critic Edu Galán.
The event will begin at 6.30 p.m., will feature the performance of 'Ún de Grao' and will bring together the Government delegate in Asturias, Adriana Lastra; the President of the Principality of Asturias, Adrián Barbón; the former deputy, former senator and former vice-president of the Principality José Ramón García Cañal; and the former president of the General Board of the Principality, former deputy and former councillor Laura González.
This session, which it will allow to analyze the advances and challenges of democracy, culminates the cycle of activities organized in 2025 by the Government Delegation in Asturias within the institutional initiative 'Spain in freedom. 50 years' to commemorate the half-century of Spanish democracy since the Transition, within the commitment to citizen participation and democratic memory.
The talk/colloquium ‘The rights of women in democracy’, held at the Historical Archive of Asturias, the talk/colloquium ‘Social changes in the rural environment’, held at the Museum of the East of Asturias, in Porrúa, Llanes, and the cultural meeting ‘Radiu Barullu. Half a Century of Cultural Change’, held at La Benéfica de Piloña; and the talk/colloquium ‘From Censorship to TikTok: Freedom in 50 years’, celebrated in Vegadeo.
