The Institute for the Just Transition (ITJ) and the City of Energy Foundation (CIUDEN), both dependent on the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), will launch the third edition of the Dinamiz-ARTj program from September 1, with a total of 139 actions in 26 municipalities of just transition in the Principality of Asturias.
At the national level, there will be 1,095 actions, which will reach 174 municipalities of the Fair Transition Zones, which are located in 15 Spanish provinces (A Coruña, Álava, Almería, Asturias, Burgos, Cádiz, Córdoba, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Balearic Islands, León, Lugo, Palencia, Teruel and Zaragoza) that belong to the 15 fair transition agreements.
In the first edition 199 artists participated in 136 municipalities, while the second edition had 165 municipalities adhered. Now, in the third edition, there are 174 municipalities, 88 percent of the total of the municipalities of just transition throughout the country, where 309 artists of music, theater and dance have proposed 388 artistic proposals that will develop in the 1,095 performances that are scheduled to date, pending the formalization of new contracts.
This initiative, which seeks to stimulate cultural activity in these territories, increases the scope of previous editions, which “highlights the good reception of Dinamiz-ARTj, which is being consolidated as one of the main offers in a part of the national territory that requires projects of cultural dynamization”, explained the general director of CIUDEN, Yasodhara López.
Specifically, in the case of the Principality of Asturias, Morcín, Quirós, Ribera de Arriba, Riosa, Teverga, Aller, Carreño, Gozón, Lena, Llanera, Villaviciosa, Gijón and Mieres, have joined this edition in the fair transition agreement of Vallde del Caudal and Aboño. Belonging to the agreement of the South-Western Asturias, Allande, Degaña, Ibias, Salas, Cangas del Narcea and Tineo have joined, while in the agreement of Valle del Nalón Bimenes, Caso, Alarcobio, Laviana, Piloña, San Martín del Rey Aurelio and Langreo have also joined.
Currently, the execution of these actions involves an investment in culture in the municipalities of fair transition of about three million euros, generating direct and indirect employment with artists, technical support companies and local employment.
