The delegate of the Government, Adriana Lastra, has presided this morning a meeting to coordinate the security device of the League match that will be played by Real Oviedo and Real Sporting de Gijón at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium at 9:00 pm next Saturday.
The measures proposed are similar to those adopted at the previous meeting held in September in Gijón. The priority is security taking into account that they are parties declared high-risk by the State Commission against violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sport, and with the intention that the hobbies of both teams can enjoy the sports show.
Real Oviedo has made 570 tickets available to Real Sporting de Gijón. 165 are for fans of the animation stand, who as in the previous season, will go to the Carlos Tartiere Stadium on three buses that they will access after passing a security check to avoid having to repeat the process when entering the stadium, thus shortening the waiting times. In this way, they will access the stadium just after the players of the two teams, an hour and a half before the start of the match.
The rest of the fans of the Real Sporting de Gijón with entrance, 405, will be summoned at 19 hours in the Campus of El Cristo from where they will travel on foot to the stadium and protected by a security device. They, like the rest of the meeting attendees, will have to pass the security check to access the sports venue, as usual.
The National Police, with the collaboration of the Local Police of Oviedo, will start from Saturday morning a device in the surroundings of the stadium and in the areas where more crowds of fans are expected. The National Police will deploy Special Units UIP, UPR, Tedax, Subsoil, Canine Guides, Citizen Care Groups and Information Brigades.
Members of the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard will be in charge of the security of the buses in which the fans of Real Sporting de Gijón will travel, as well as the vehicles in which the players of the two football teams will travel to the stadium.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Government Delegation, the Civil Guard, the National Police, the local police of Gijón and Oviedo and Real Sporting and Real Oviedo.
