The Government Delegation in Asturias participates in the Logistical Protocol for the Collection of Material Aid to those affected by DANA that has been launched by the Government of the Principality of Asturias. The delegate of the Government, Adriana Lastra, has offered the Ministry of Development, Local Cooperation and Fire Prevention the facilities of the State Mobile Park, located in Oviedo, as a logistical center for the reception of the aid collected by the municipalities.
In an example of collaboration between administrations, the chain to channel the collection and sending of support from Asturias will begin in the municipalities. The Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) has asked the territories to coordinate the collection and shipment of the material that the population wants to use in solidarity with the people affected by DANA. The FEMP recommends that donated products be water, non-perishable food and personal hygiene items.
Each city council will establish a collection point that must be reported to the FEMP through the assisted mail@fvmp.org. The Principality of Asturias Emergency Service (SEPA) will be responsible for coordinating municipal aid and its transfer through the proteccioncivil mail@sepa.as. Finally, the material will arrive at the facilities of the State Mobile Park from next Monday and from 9 to 14 hours. The information on the collected aid will be sent to the National Emergency Centre (CENEM), which will be responsible for coordinating its transport and final distribution to the affected areas.
