The delegate of the Government, Adriana Lastra, visited the headquarters of the territorial delegation of ONCE, where she met the work of the ONCE Social Group in Asturias.
After meeting with the delegate of ONCE in Asturias, Yobanka Cuervo, and with the president of the Territorial Council of ONCE, Marta Malgor, she has toured the facilities and services available to the 1,570 people affiliated to the organization in Asturias.
Adriana Lastra has visited the Education classroom, where she has been shown the model of the ONCE Social Group to train students with blindness or visual impairment. He has also learned about the work being done in the field of learning the Braille literacy system, with which blind people access information, culture, leisure, etc.
Rehabilitation technicians have explained to the Government delegate the effort of ONCE so that people who have just lost their sight lead as normal a life as possible, teaching them techniques for daily life.
