● In total, the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, has announced the provisional approval of 12 new projects of the call for the line 1 of the PERTE of Industrial Decarbonization, endowed with 123.4 million euros.
● With these new interim resolutions, to date, the Industrial Decarbonization PERTE has already benefited 27 tractor projects (59 primary projects) with a total of 219 million euros in direct subsidies, which means a reduction of emissions of 711,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year.
● Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Tourism has registered a total of 117 clusters that group more than 12,000 companies.
The Government, through the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, announced this Monday in his speech at the State Congress of Industrial Clusters, held in Viladecans, Barcelona, the provisional approval of two projects worth 69,588,685 euros in Asturias, within the framework of the PERTE of Industrial Decarbonization.
The projects benefited in the Principality correspond to the companies Fertiberia S.A., in the town of Avilés and endowed with 60,886,529 euros; and Asturiana de Zinc S.A., in the town of Castrillón, worth 8,702,156 euros.
In total, Minister Hereu has announced that the evaluation committee has approved 12 new provisional resolutions of the call for the line 1 of the PERTE of Industrial Decarbonization, endowed with 123.4 million euros.
The 12 projects approved are H.J. HEINZ MANUFACTURING SPAIN, FLUORINE DERIVATIVES, FERTIBERIA, UBE CORPORATION EUROPE, XALLAS ELECTRICITY AND ALLOYS, BASELL POLYOLEFINS IBÉRICA, ROQUETTE LAISA SPAIN, SAINT-GOBAIN ISOVER IBÉRICA, ASTURIAN ZINC, SIDENOR SPECIAL STEELS, ANGLÉS TEXTIL, AB AZUCARERA IBERIA.
With these new interim resolutions, the Industrial Decarbonization PERTE has already benefited 27 tractor projects (59 primary projects) with a total of 219 million euros in direct subsidies, which means a reduction of emissions of 711,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year.
As already announced by Minister Hereu, in the second half of the year, the Ministry of Industry and Tourism will launch two new calls for this PERTE.
State Congress of Industrial Clusters
Minister Hereu has highlighted the role of clusters in the national economy, contributing more than four million workers. Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Tourism has registered a total of 117 clusters that group more than 12,000 companies.
The support program for Innovative Business Groups is allowing the development of specific entrepreneurship and innovation plans in SMEs. Over the last four years, the programme has granted grants of more than EUR 145 million to 915 projects submitted. Precisely, in the coming days the call for this year’s edition will come out with more than nine million euros of budget.
The State Congress of Industrial Clusters, organized by the National Federation of Innovative Business Groups and Clusters with the collaboration of Enisa, has had master exhibitions, discussion tables and the presentation of data at the national level of the innovation barometer in the SME, among which it is noteworthy that 93% of companies qualify extraordinary public aid calls with a score higher than 8. In addition, 20% of surveyed SMEs have hired new specialized profiles for project implementation.
