The delegate of the Government in Asturias, Delia Losa, has received Colonel Francisco Javier Puerta, head of the Zone/Command of the Principality and Asturias and Lieutenant Colonel Manuel Montes, recently appointed head of the Personnel and Support Section of the Zone/Command of the Principality of Asturias.
The lieutenant colonel is from Laviana and joined the Civil Guard in 1992. After passing through the Traffic sector of the Civil Guard of the Canary Islands and the Traffic School of the Civil Guard in Mérida, he was in charge of the second company of the Civil Guard in Avilés. After being promoted to commander, he was transferred to the Criminalistics Service of the General Directorate of the Civil Guard in Madrid, after a few months in the capital, he returned to the former Gijón Command as Chief Personnel and Support Officer, where he stayed until 2013. From that moment, after completing the General Staff Course of the Armed Forces, he held positions of support to the Directorate in the Personnel Command of the Civil Guard and in the General Staff of the Operational Deputy Directorate of the General Directorate of the Civil Guard in Madrid. He has recently participated as an International Observer in the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia.
