Huesca.- The Subdelegation of the Government in Huesca has convened a meeting this morning to take stock of the campaign to collect the fruit. The meeting, chaired by the subdelegate Carlos Campo, and held in the City of Albalate de Cinca, was attended by Ricardo Chárlez and Javier Carrasquer, mayors of Albalate and Belver de Cinca, respectively; representatives of Labour Inspection, Civil Guard, Aliens Office; and farmers and members of UAGA and UPA in Bajo Cinca.
The meeting, once it has been verified that the campaign has developed positively in terms of production, has allowed to resolve doubts in terms of contracting, accommodation, labor regulations and security. The Government’s deputy delegate explained that “the objective of this meeting is to follow up on the issues that arise during the peak times of fruit collection, and that once the campaign is over we can calmly analyze and prepare together to improve in the next one”.
In terms of security, the subdelegate highlighted that from 2021 to 2024, subtractions in agricultural and livestock farms have fallen by 20% in the province. A positive trend that is being maintained so far in 2025 and for which he has shown his gratitude both to the Civil Guard, especially the Roca Team, and to the farmers, for applying the recommended preventive measures.
