Zaragoza.- This spring in Aragón has been a normal season in terms of the character of the temperatures and very wet in terms of rainfall. Specifically, with the rainfall record it has become the warmest spring in the historical series, according to the climate balance presented today by the territorial delegate of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), Arcadio Blasco, an organism dependent on the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge.
The spring of 2025 (period between March 1, 2025 and May 31, 2025) has been, according to the parameters, normal in terms of temperatures in the whole of Aragon, with an anomaly of +0.1°C with respect to the average of the reference period 1991-2020.
The percentages of precipitation accumulated in the last quarter, with respect to the reference averages (1991-2020), represent an average of 123%, data that show the humid character of these months that make this season the thirteenth rainiest since the beginning in the series in 1961 and the seventh of the 20th century.
The quarter formed by the months of June, July and August, coinciding approximately with the astronomical summer that begins this June 21, will probably be warmer than usual in Aragon, with a probability greater than 50% of being in the upper warm tercil.
In terms of rainfall, the quarter could remain within the common values, although in this case, the odds of falling in the mean, above or below, are equal.
