Huesca.- The Subdelegation of the Government in Huesca, through a resolution of the General Directorate of Traffic, will make it possible for tractors and other special agricultural vehicles to travel provisionally on the A-23, between the links of kilometers 375 and 395, while the works of the autonomous road A-132 last. In this way, said the subdelegate Carlos Campo, “the commitment made with the agricultural organizations to give an alternative step, especially at the height of the agricultural campaign, while maintaining the safety of the road is fulfilled”.
The resolution, signed by the director of the DGT, Pere Navarro, this past May 13, will enter into force after its publication in the BOA. This was reported by the subdelegate in a meeting held in the Subdelegation with representatives of UAGA, ASAJA and UPA, organizations to which on April 25 he pledged to seek a solution to the difficulties involved in cutting the A-132 for farmers in the northern area.
Carlos Campo has pointed out that “when difficulties arise for farmers, the Government of Spain gives concrete solutions; it was done with direct aid due to drought, it has done with the measures to face the tariffs and, if it is in our hands, it is also done in the most attached to the territory, as it was to respond to this demand”. The resolution establishes the passage of special agricultural vehicles on the A-23 for the duration of the cuts on the A-132, between the links located at kilometer points 375 and 395, generally on working days, from Monday to Friday, from sunrise until 10:00 hours.
This authorisation shall not apply during special traffic restriction periods and when, for meteorological or other reasons, the responsible authority establishes a temporary restriction. Likewise, the circulation must be suspended in the event that, due to adverse atmospheric phenomena, there is a risk to the circulation. Finally, the resolution establishes the obligation to communicate these trips to the Pyrenees Traffic Management Center, on the telephone 976 564 656.
