The Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, has announced that tomorrow Friday the BOE will publish the call for the battery line of the PERTE VEC III. He announced it during his speech at the Sella Forum, which, under the slogan “Electrification, networks and cohesion”, brings together national and international experts in energy management of the industry in Villanueva de Gállego (Zaragoza).
In this regard, the minister has alluded to the decarbonization PERTE, whose first call for 1,000 million euros is under way. Hereu has recalled that 7 companies from Aragón have been presented in the call for line 1 of this PERTE. Among them, there are agri-food, automotive, paper and non-metallic mineral companies. The first provisionally approved projects will be made public in the next few days.
Jordi Hereu has stressed that renewables will have a crucial role in the decarbonization of the industry, an essential process from the regulatory, environmental and competitiveness perspective of companies. In this sense, Spain is very well positioned to be among the leaders of the ecological transition of the industry.
Finally, the head of Industry stressed that the Government has allocated more than 109 million euros to Aragonese industries in subsidies for electrointensive consumers, subsidies for the increase in natural gas prices and compensation for the indirect costs of CO2.
