The Ministry of Transport continues with the rehabilitation work of the firm on the A-23 motorway, in the stretch between the Barranco del Valdabra and Nueno. These works, with a budget of 7,224,344.88 euros, began last November and are allowing refurbishment with a new method that allows a high recycling rate, with the reuse of 30% of the current pavement material.
The works, which to facilitate the fluidity of traffic will be executed by subsections until 2025, are currently between the kilometric points 362+550 and 364+900, in the Huesca ring road, Jaca direction. The work obliges the temporary diversion of the circulation along the opposite road, with a scheduled cut that rises on weekends.
For the deputy delegate of the Government in Huesca, Carlos Campo, “the rehabilitation works carried out by the Ministry of Transport are of great importance both for the maintenance of infrastructures and to guarantee road safety on our roads, especially on high-capacity roads that withstand intense traffic.” The deputy delegate also stressed that this renewal of the firm “takes into account environmental and circular economy criteria”.
The deputy delegate stressed that “the Government of Spain, through the Ministry of Transport, is committed to the province of Huesca, both with the processing and execution of large projects and with these conservation works, which maintain the State Roads with quality standards that mark the way forward for other administrations.”
