The government delegate in Aragon, Fernando Beltrán, has chaired a meeting between the representatives of the Industry Area of the Government Delegation and the different agricultural entities of the autonomous community to report on the development of renewable energy infrastructures in the territory. The meeting proposed improving coordination and communication mechanisms to assess in advance the effects that such facilities can have on traditional land uses.
The meeting, which was attended by representatives and technicians of the provincial Agrarian Chambers, as well as representatives of the unions ASAJA, UAGA, COAG, ARAGA and UPA, insisted on the compatibility of the public utility of irrigation with the public utility of energy use. In this way, it has been ensured that the beginning of the files that are processed in the Government Delegation will be sent to the three agricultural chambers to ensure transparency in the processing and facilitate the presentation of the corresponding claims.
Currently, 19,000 MW are already being processed in the community with an investment planned between 2023 and 2028 of 15 billion euros, about 2.7 billion euros per year. In the meeting with the agrarian entities, information has also been transferred about the processing process, as well as the way of use of the Cartographic Viewer of renewable energy files in processing in the Government Delegation in Aragón according to article 3 of Law 24/2013, of December 26, of the Electricity Sector.
