The Subdelegate of the Government in Zaragoza, Fernando Beltrán, and the head of documentation in Aragon of the National Police, Miguel Ángel Andrés Peiro, visited this Monday the members of the mobile team of issuance of documentation to Spaniards in the rural environment of the National Police in the City of La Almunia de Doña Godina.
The so-called rural DNI service is provided at the request of the municipalities that request it, with the only requirement that enough people are served to make the service profitable. They are usually the main towns of the region such as Tarazona, Caspe, Mequinenza and La Almunia that are visited almost monthly. In addition, services are provided in hospitals, old people ' s homes, penitentiary centres, special education centres and private homes.
Last year, in the province of Zaragoza alone, more than 7,000 people benefited from this service, 182 of them being cared for in private homes.
