The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, visited this Saturday, in Linares (Jaén), the technological Meltio, a leading company in 3D printing for the manufacture of metal parts and the research of multimetal 3D printing, together with the also Spanish Sicnova, also located in this town.
Pedro Sánchez has expressed his pride in the talent and innovation of companies such as Meltio and Sicnova, which from Linares export their technology to the rest of the world, and has valued the Government’s commitment to technological development and innovative entrepreneurship to promote a modern and sustainable Spanish industry and to meet new challenges.
The head of the Government, accompanied by the delegate of the Government, Pedro Fernández, has toured the facilities of this technology company, which is beneficiary of investments of the Ministry of Science and Innovation worth 1.5 million euros, with the aim of promoting the Spanish industry in the industrial revolution of the 21st century and strengthening technological capacities for safe and sustainable energy autonomy.
This Spanish stamp technology has the strategic support of ArcelorMittal, the largest steel producer in the world, and among its customers are universities, technology centers, and the US Navy, which is using Meltio’s innovative 3D technology, which allows onboard repairs and the manufacture of parts. This company, which has about a hundred employees, is committed to local suppliers, stable employment and multiculturalism.
