The head of the Executive, accompanied by the Minister of Science and Innovation, Diana Morant, has participated in the presentation of the launch base of the company PLD Space, at the Center for Experimentation of Aerospace Vehicles and Atmospheric Research of El Arenosillo (CEDEA) of INTA.
In his speech, Sánchez stressed that today the Spanish aerospace industry is a "powerful and competitive" industry, with a total economic impact that exceeded 13 billion euros in 2020 - 1.2% of Spanish GDP and 5.4% of industrial GDP - capable of translating into 155,000 direct and indirect jobs, many highly specialized. In addition, he stressed that investment in R+D+I already reaches 1,500 million euros in our country.
