A total of 160,621 Andalusians have requested in the first hours of its implementation the aid of 200 euros activated by the Government for people with incomes below 27,000 euros and whose patrimony - discounting the usual housing - does not exceed 75,000 euros, with the aim of alleviating the shopping basket and protecting the most vulnerable groups. In total, the website of the Tax Agency has registered a total of 570,000 applications throughout Spain during the first day of the deadline.
The delegate of the Government of Spain in Andalusia, Pedro Fernández, highlighted “how the Executive continues to take steps to protect a social majority by adopting measures that allow those who need it most to cushion the effects of the economic crisis resulting from the war in Ukraine”. “The government’s goal is to have a fair distribution of the effects of the crisis and not to pay for the usual ones,” he added.
The Ministry of Finance and Public Function yesterday, February 15, enabled the online form where you can request until March 31 the new aid of 200 euros for people with low income and heritage established by Royal Decree-Law 20/2022, of December 27. The deadline for payment by the Tax Agency is three months from the end of the deadline.
The form has been published in the highlighted information section of the Agency’s electronic office and it will only be necessary to fill in the identification details and address of the applicant and of the people with whom he lives in the home, as well as a contact telephone and bank account number to make the payment of the aid effective.
On this website, the interested parties can also find a specific block of frequently asked questions, instructions for registering in the ‘Key’ system, as well as brochures and explanatory videos.
The aid consists of a single payment of 200 euros for self-employed or self-employed workers and beneficiaries of the unemployment benefit or allowance in 2022 who last year did not exceed 27,000 euros gross of income and whose assets – discounting the usual housing – did not exceed 75,000 euros. The beneficiaries must have their habitual residence in Spain in 2022.
For the calculation of amounts, the income and assets of the following persons living in the same household must be added: the beneficiary himself; his spouse or partner; descendants under 25 years of age, or disabled, with incomes not exceeding 8,000 euros; and ascendants up to second degree by direct line (parents and grandparents).
As in the case of the previous aid of 200 euros, the object of this new single payment is to alleviate the harmful effect on prices caused by the energy crisis resulting from the invasion of Ukraine in situations of economic vulnerability not covered by other social benefits. In this sense, the increase in contributory pensions is already guaranteed in line with inflation, while the Minimum Vital Income (MVI) and non-contributory pensions already benefit from an extraordinary increase of 15%. Therefore, recipients of this aid are not recipients of the recipients as of December 31, 2022 of the IMV and of Social Security pensions.
On the other hand, the Royal Decree establishes the requirement that none of the aforementioned cohabitants was in 2022 the administrator of an active company, nor the holder of unquoted shares or shares.
