The campaign of special monitoring of compliance with the regulations on school and child transport developed by the General Directorate of Traffic on the roads of Andalusia has been closed with a total of 406 complaints, out of a total of 489 vehicles controlled between 12 and 16 December.
During the five days that this campaign has lasted, traffic agents have carried out regulatory checks on a total of 489 vehicles, of which 42.9% have been reported for irregularities of an administrative nature.
It is clear that all the school transport drivers controlled during the development of the school complied with the established speed limits and none has tested positive in the preventive alcohol controls carried out by the agents.
With regard to the compulsory use of the belt, this year there has been only one complaint about this irregularity, in addition to the fact that all controlled buses carried on board the coach a person in charge of the care of minors when this was the case.
The most numerous
As usual, administrative irregularities are the ones that have generated the greatest number of complaints. For example, not having special authorization to carry out school transport has led to the denunciation of 175 vehicles (43.1%) and 96 (23.6%) have received it because they do not have unlimited liability insurance, as required by law.
The agents of the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard have also verified that 16 controlled vehicles did not carry the corresponding V-10 signal of school transport and 7 controlled vehicles did not have a luminous device with an emergency signal.
With regard to vehicles that had deficiencies in service and emergency doors, as well as in their drive devices, agents of the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard have reported a total of 27 vehicles (6.6%) and another 4 were reported for not having the Technical Inspection of Vehicles (ITV) in order.
This campaign is part of the DGT’s concern for the safe transport of minors, which leads agents to permanently carry out checks on this type of vehicle.
