The General Traffic Directorate (DGT) activates tomorrow Thursday at 3:00 p.m. the third and final phase of the special device that it has prepared for these festivities and that will last until midnight on Sunday, January 8, with the forecast of 902,000 displacements on Andalusian roads. The complete device can be consulted in the “Special Operations” section in www.dgt.es/conoce-el-estado-del-trafico/recomendaciones-de-trafico/
The DGT considers it essential to take into account a series of recommendations known to almost the entire population and apply them rigorously when driving, more in an era in which adverse weather conditions can arise and celebrations with family and friends increase.
• Plan the trip in advance and inform yourself about any road incidents through the traffic information bulletins on the different radio and television stations, on the web www.dgt.es mapamovilidad.dgt.es, on Twitter -@DGTes and @InformacionDGT- and on the phone 011.
• Pay attention to the circulation in winter, informing itself of the meteorological conditions and carrying the essential elements to circulate if these are adverse.
• Maximum caution on short and night trips, even if they are known.
• Refrain from drinking alcoholic beverages or other drugs if you have to drive.
• Fasten the seat belt or properly anchor minors in child restraint systems. Every year more than a hundred people die who were not wearing this safety device at the time of the accident.
• Always comply with traffic rules so that no one has to recreate the album of Christmas that you could not live.
