The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, received today the Minister of Territorial Administration of Angola, Dionisio da Fonseca, to exchange information on the decentralization process that the African country is carrying out.
Ángel Víctor Torres has transmitted to his Angolan counterpart the Spanish experience with the State of the autonomies and has pointed out that “co-governance is a fundamental pillar of coexistence in our country”.
The Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory is collaborating in the implementation of the Pascal Project (Project to Support Civil Society in Local Governance in Angola). It is an initiative funded by the European Commission and managed by FIIAPP in Angola, which seeks to overcome the main restrictions on governance in the African country, especially in relation to the decentralisation process.
Both administrations will hold a technical meeting tomorrow, and they were placed for future meetings in which they will continue to work to contribute to social development, through an inclusive, heterogeneous and effective participation of civil society in the process of co-governance.
