The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, has come to Almería to pay tribute to ‘los Coloraos’, a group of 22 liberals who were shot at by the absolutist regime, for defending the Constitution of 1812. After the event, the minister unveiled the plaque that recognizes the memorial to these victims as a Place of Memory, the first plaque throughout Spanish territory, a fact that the minister has described as “historic”.
