The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, has attended the opening of the Faneque tunnels in Gran Canaria. The work, which receives more than 153 million euros of state funding, collected in the road agreement between the Government of Spain and the Government of the Canary Islands, will significantly improve the connection of the residents of La Aldea with the rest of the island.
This new communication route will allow you to travel the new section in just six minutes safely, whereas previously it took 20 minutes to travel along curved and run-off tracks with a significant danger for drivers.
Ángel Víctor Torres has put this work as a clear example of the commitment of the Government of Spain to dialogue, cooperation and agreement between public administrations to improve the living conditions of citizens.
