The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, has announced the constitution of the Interministerial Commission on Immigration next week: “It is composed of seven ministries and, although there is a month to convene it, we approved it last Tuesday and we will constitute it in the coming days for coordination in the face of the migratory phenomenon, an issue in which all institutions must go hand in hand and with a unique message.”
It has advanced that each of the ministries will put on the table its management and negotiations within the scope of its competences.
The minister also stressed that “it is necessary that the 17 autonomous communities are involved alongside the Canary Islands and the two autonomous cities and that the EU with the recent asylum and immigration pact also responds to the demands that are raised from the Canary Islands”.
