The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, has today attended the tribute to the Spanish victims of Nazism, in an event organized by his department and the Amical Mauthausen Association, to recognize the Republicans who were confined to concentration camps.
Torres, who participated in the event together with the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, and the vice-president of Amical Mauthausen, Concha Díaz, highlighted that “those deported and killed in the Nazi camps, together with the Spaniards who fought in the resistance, in the regular French forces and in the guerrilla troops against Nazism and fascism contributed with their sacrifice and their own lives to forge the Democratic Memory of Europe.”
