The Minister of Territorial Policy and spokeswoman for the Government, Isabel Rodríguez, stressed that Spain is much more than the big cities, Spain is everything and Spain is all of us, those of us who think in one way or another, and I want to value life in rural areas, life led by women in the countryside.”
Isabel Rodríguez recalled that she was born in a town of 2000 inhabitants, Abenójar, today with less population, and for her it is a privilege to come from the rural environment: “It is a luxury that is not available to everyone, I am rural by birth and by conviction, so they represent the values of the smallest environments, so it represents coexistence in them, and I am in love with women who with more difficulties than in the urban environment carry out their life projects and their projects and businesses as you all do.”
Isabel Rodríguez, who has closed the 5th Ruraltivity Meeting, organized by the Federation of Rural Women’s Associations (Fademur), has conveyed a message of hope to the rural world, which must not be approached from victimism or parody: “I want to convey to you my message of thanks, accompaniment and strength, do not let this moment escape. We have a lot of money to spend in a short time. You have ideas and projects and you have money for the transformation of our country and rural environment. Go ahead!”
