The Minister of Territorial Policy and spokeswoman for the Government, Isabel Rodríguez, stressed that “mayors are a fundamental part of our State, and being mayor marks an imprint, because municipalities have been part of the institutional anchorage of our country and the territorial model. My appreciation goes to the 8,130 mayors, the thousands of councilors who work with them and who show the best of our country’s politics.”
Isabel Rodríguez, who presented the mayor of Seville, Antonio Muñoz, at the New Economy Forum, has acknowledged having peace of mind knowing that many of those who are in charge of the municipalities are solvent people, such as the first authority of the Andalusian capital: “Mayors like Antonio, carry out the transformation of cities like Seville, which have a cultural heritage and a tourist attraction like few cities in our country, in addition, with other opportunities that are waiting for us at the door. It has an allied government that wants to give it its hand, as we did at the beginning of democracy or when projecting the Spain of 92”.
