The Minister of Territorial Policy and spokeswoman for the Government, has stressed that "freedom of expression and information is not only a constitutional right but is part of the anchors of democracy in our country and we understand that, without journalism, there is no democracy."
Isabel Rodríguez, who answered a question at the Congress of the Basque Group, stressed that the Government knows, because other parliamentary groups have communicated so, “the interest of the Federation of Associations of Journalists of Spain (FAPE) and the Forum of Organizations of Journalists (FOP) for the regulation of the Law of Professional Secrecy.”
