The Minister of Territorial Policy and spokeswoman for the Government, Isabel Rodríguez, has participated, together with the rector of the Complutense University of Madrid, Joaquín Goyache, vice-rectors, several vice-rectors, deans and students, in a colloquium at the Faculty of Philosophy and Philology of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), on the “Concepción Arenal” scholarship program.
The minister has acknowledged that she was able to go to university thanks to a scholarship, which allowed her to get involved as a young politician and hold public office, to transform people’s lives, “and today I reaffirm my commitment to politics.”
Isabel Rodríguez stressed that the University is moving towards a more cohesive and convergent model: “We have lived two years where the success has been the union, which has to be social, economic and political, to lay the foundations of a freer, more advanced state that consolidates our democracy.”
