The Secretary of State for Territorial Policy and Public Service, Víctor Francos, chaired this morning the Committee of Coordinators of the Conference for Matters related to the European Union (CARUE), in which the sharing of the participation of the Autonomous Communities in the Europe 2021-2027 committees of the EU has been agreed.
The meeting was also attended by the Secretary of State for the European Union, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Juan González-Barba.
To enable maximum participation, the duration of the programme has been divided into three periods of two years each. In this way, in each of the 11 committees open to autonomous participation, three autonomies will intervene.
For the distribution, the interest and preferences shown by them have been taken into account. The rotation has also been attended to, giving the opportunity to participate to communities that did not do so in the previous period. In addition, the order of priority of the requests received and the balance in the distribution have been assessed.
