The Commission for the Coordination of Public Employment, attached to the Sectoral Conference on Public Administration, held today its first meeting, focused on starting the way to reduce temporality in public administrations.
In the meeting held today, representatives of the Ministries of Territorial Policy and Public Function and Finance participated together with representatives of the autonomous communities and local entities, through the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).
Among the issues addressed is the reform of article 10 of the Consolidated Text of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee, as a way to solve the abuse of temporality and the misuse of interinity for a more stable future in all public administrations.
In addition, and in order to begin to solve the problem of the Interim Stock Exchanges that exist today, the different public administrations have committed themselves to provide the data within the scope of their competences to start making decisions.
This first meeting, which begins negotiations to find solutions to the excessive temporality in public employment, has taken place within an atmosphere of cooperation between the different administrations, which have committed themselves to the immediate delivery of the data on temporality for updating.
Seeking a solution to reduce precariousness in public employment was one of the main commitments announced by Minister Miquel Iceta during his appearance on Thursday, March 18, in the Congressional Committee on Territorial Policy and Public Service.
