The Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Service, Carolina Darias, has telematically inaugurated the II Women in the Public Sector Congress, which brings together women from all public administrations and from all sectors, such as university, teaching, health or research, and has highlighted the commitment of the Government to make effective the principle of equality in public employment: “Equality is a strategic value for achieving a more just, developed and socially and economically cohesive society. If women advance, if public employees advance, so does the administration and the whole society.”
The minister has provided data from the General State Administration (AGE): 48.6% are men and 51.4% of the staff are women, of whom in group C1 there are 32.4% and in group C2 31.6%, while in group A2 it falls to 19.8% and 16.2% in group A1.
