Carolina Darias, after having a working meeting with the president of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has detailed a package of measures with the objective of returning normality and habitual uses to the pier of Arguineguín (Gran Canaria). The Ministries of Foreign Affairs, the Interior, Defence, Inclusion and Territorial Policy and the Civil Service are collaborating in these actions, under the coordination of the First Vice-Presidency of the Government.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Autonomous Presidency, was also attended by, among others, the Secretary of State for Territorial Policy and Public Service, Francisco Hernández Spínola and the delegate of the Government of Spain in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana.
Likewise, in a previous act, the Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Service has highlighted the impetus that the Statute of Municipalities with a Smaller Population will bring to gender equality.
She expressed this during the inauguration of the V Interdisciplinary Forum for Equality of Women in the Rural Area of the Canary Islands, SURCA 2020, held in the Gran Canarian municipality of Villa de Moya and where she has been awarded in recognition of her trajectory and commitment to gender equality.
