The reopening of Playa Chica represents a new advance in the normalization of Puerto Naos and in the recovery of its social, economic and tourist activity. "Every space we recover is a sign that La Palma continues to move steadily towards reconstruction. Behind every reopening there is a huge collective effort, based on scientific rigour, institutional collaboration and commitment to people’s safety,” the commissioner said.
Héctor Izquierdo is grateful for the work done by the administrations involved and the scientific and technical teams that have made this new milestone possible, while reiterating the commitment of the Government of Spain to continue accompanying La Palma until the completion of a reconstruction process that will allow the full recovery of life on the island.
