The project will remain on public display for a period of 20 days, during which time submissions may be submitted. Once this procedure has been completed and the comments that may be received have been resolved, the works will be tendered for subsequent adjudication and execution.
The Special Commissioner for the Reconstruction of La Palma, Héctor Izquierdo, stressed that "the publication of the project represents a very important advance to continue recovering infrastructure and strategic public spaces on the west coast of the island." He also said that "this is an action that already has the necessary technical and environmental reviews, which will allow to speed up the next administrative steps once the period of public information ends". Izquierdo added that "our objective is that, if there are no claims - or those that are not in the background - the work can be put out to tender as soon as possible so that the works begin in the shortest possible time."
