The Commissioner’s intervention highlighted the role of the tourism sector and the business fabric in the revitalization of the territory, as well as the collaboration between public administrations and entities of the sector to promote a model of sustainable development. With this anniversary, the CIT Insular ‘La Palma’ celebrated a trajectory that began in 2001 with the creation of the CIT Tedote and that, after a process of growth and cooperation between entities, culminated in 2023 with the union of the CIT Tedote and the CIT La Palma. This merger gave rise to the current island tourism bosses, reinforcing the promotion of the destination, the support of partner companies and the management of the network of tourist information offices that serve every year thousands of visitors who come to discover the natural, cultural and patrimonial values of the island.
