The island of La Palma has a great scientific potential "of sky, earth and sea", in mention of the astrophysical observatory and the development of science around the volcano and the marine environment that is being created, with this reason more than suffucient, has taken place the visit of the General Secretary of Research of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Eva Ortega -Pain, organized by the Special Commission for the Reconstruction of the island of La Palma, Hector Izquierdo Triana. The General Secretariat said that this visit will be used to learn first-hand about the follow-up of the reconstruction process of the island, the unique technical scientific facilities, such as the Granterian or the projects developed by Plocan.
Eva Ortega has said that on the part of the State and the Autonomous Community, which is elected for the creation of the National Vulcanological Center, there are proposed 5 million euros, respectively, Canary Island Autonomous Community for which “we all bet”.
Given the importance of investment in science, it has been increased by 70%, valuing that “the countries that have become rich are because they have opted for science, not the other way around”.
