The XIII Joint Commission for the reconstruction, recovery and support of the island of La Palma took place this Friday, taking into account the resources currently mobilized by the State for the island, "they reach 929 million euros, amount that approaches 1 billion euros", which is the total assessment that was made of the losses and damages caused by the volcanic eruption.
The Minister has transferred the will of the Government of Spain to mobilize new funds for the repair, restitution or reconstruction of damaged infrastructures in El Paso, Los Llanos de Aridane and Tazacorte, the three municipalities affected by the volcanic eruption.
Attending the meeting were the three mayors of the municipalities affected by the Old Summit, president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, representatives of the Canary Islands Government, councilors Nieves Lady Barreto and Mariano Hernández Zapata and the Special Commission for the Reconstruction of the island of La Palma, Héctor Izquierdo Triana.
