There has been a meeting with the Director General of the Public Employment Service, Gerardo Gutiérrez Ardoy, Special Commissariat for the Reconstruction of the island of La Palma, Héctor Izquierdo Triana, mayors of the municipalities of El Paso, Tazacorte and Los Llanos de Aridane, representatives of the trade union Comisión Obreras, UGT and Intersindical Canarias, and others.
Among the different conclusions reached, among others, have been to continue supporting and helping in their evolution in training and achieving a better qualification to the people affected by the volcanic eruption. The Integral Employment Plan for La Palma has involved 63 million initials plus another 30 million approved at the Council of Ministers on February 28, 2023.
The Special Commissioner for the Reconstruction of the island of La Palma, Héctor Izquierdo, stressed that “it is very important to optimize it”, make the most of it, contemplate the new training needs, born from the modifications in companies, strengthen professional training with action and information measures and promote measures in the diffusion of the economy.
