Virtual meeting
The International Day of the Right to Truth in Relation to Serious Violations of Human Rights and the Dignity of Victims is celebrated every March 24 and serves to pay tribute to the memory of Monsignor Óscar Arnulfo Romero, assassinated on March 24, 1980 for denouncing the human rights violations of the most vulnerable people of El Salvador.
In addition to the Secretary of State, Jaime Ruiz, President of the Platform, Fabián Salvioli, special rapporteur on the promotion of truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-repetition and the Baltasar Garzón Platform, Carlos Villán, Araceli Manjón-Cabeza, Joan Garcés, Manolo de la Rocha and Cristina Almeida, as well as senators and senators from various political groups, will speak.
At the end of the event, we will proceed to the reading of the document Commitment to public policies of democratic memory.
