The presence of Delgado in these events, together with the secretary of state, Irene Lozano, and the former director general of Memoria Historico, Fernando Martínez, is the first visit of a Spanish minister to the celebration of this historic milestone. Among the events held in Paris, Delgado has attended the inauguration of a mural that pays homage to the 9th Company of the 2nd Armored Division, known as "The Nine" or "the Spanish battalion", since it was made up mostly of Republican exiles, and which was the first unit of the Allied army to penetrate Nazi-occupied Paris, on August 24, 1944.

During the visit, the Minister of Justice also attended the discovery of the plaque offered by the city of Madrid in honor of these Spanish combatants. Delgado expressed the firm commitment of the Spanish Government to "pay tribute to the Republican exile and expose the efforts of thousands of Spaniards who defended democracy and freedom with their lives and marked the path to follow in defense of these values that today are questioned by the extremism that appears in Europe". In a year that also celebrates the 80th anniversary of the end of the Spanish Civil War and the beginning of the republican exile, the head of Justice has highlighted the importance of applying the Law of Historical Memory to advance justice and truth, repairing the victims of the civil war and the Franco dictatorship. In this regard, the minister has indicated that since 2008 almost 3,000 certificates of moral reparation and personal recognition have been given to those who suffered persecution or personal violence for political or ideological reasons. In fact, Dolores Delgado has given two certificates of reparation in the name of José Góngora Zubieta, a Republican exile who was part of "The Nine" during the liberation of Paris, after his stay in concentration camps in France and Algeria, and Mariano Laborda Arilla, who knew the exile twice, in France and Chile, after having suffered imprisonment in both France and Germany.
