The Government Delegation in Navarre condemns a new murder for gender violence in the province of Seville. This is a 29-year-old woman who was allegedly killed by her ex-partner on September 28. There were previous complaints of gender-based violence against the alleged aggressor.

With the confirmation of this case, the number of women killed by gender violence is 28 in 2025. This figure is the same as that disseminated in the previous press release because, after the results of the autopsy were known, a case of gender violence occurred in Barcelona and confirmed in 2025 - date of finding the body - has been counted on September 29, 2024 - date of disappearance. Following this update, the number of women killed by gender-based violence has risen to 49 in 2024, 28 in 2025 and 1,323 since 2003, when these data were first collected.

The government delegate in Navarre, Alicia Echeverría, wishes to express her absolute condemnation and rejection of this machista murder and transfers all her support to the victim’s family and friends. It calls for all efforts from the institutions, administrations and the whole of society to arrive on time and avoid more deaths.
