The Coordination Unit against Violence against Women of the Government Delegation and the College of Pharmacists of Navarre recall that the 597 pharmacies in the Foral Community are “violet points”. This means that, as a result of the agreement signed between the two entities in 2022, they offer victims of violence who require it basic information about the different specialized resources available to them.
A reminder that comes before the imminence of the Sanfermines and the patron saint’s parties in different Navarran localities.
In many pharmacies there is an adhesive that identifies them as a “safe place” where victims can receive information and accompaniment if they need it. There is also a QR code linked to the Violeta Point Guide to act against Male Violence.
As a result of the agreement signed between the Government Delegation and the Official College of Pharmacists of Navarre on December 20, 2022, various graphic material was distributed among the Boticas. It included a guide with information on how to deal with a case of violence, as well as a description and the way to access the resources that victims can turn to. It also included guidelines on what is male violence, its different manifestations and how to detect it.
In addition, the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women and the State Security Forces and Corps have given various training courses to pharmacists and pharmacists from the Foral Community to raise awareness of this harsh reality.
