February 18, 2026. Francisco Lucas announced today that the new headquarters of the Civil Guard in Los Alcázares, whose works have been presented this morning, will become Main Post in a few months, which will allow the staff to increase by 16 personnel, up to a total of 54.
“I am pleased to announce that these facilities will see in a few months the transformation of this headquarters of Los Alcázares into Main Post. At the end of January, the General Director of the Civil Guard gave the green light to this reconversion and launched the process to increase the number of vacancies in this municipality and provide Los Alcázares with new positions of civil guards,” said the government delegate during his speech.
In the presentation of the new headquarters, located in the old premises of the Integral Center for Tourism and Local Development, Lucas has detailed that the conversion into a main position responds to a historical demand of the municipality and entails an improvement of the facilities, more space, more operational capacity and better working conditions for its professionals.
“What we present here today is not just any kind of infrastructure. It is an investment in security, in coexistence, in the future. And that, dear neighbors, dear neighbors, how is it quantified?, What price do we put on it? It’s impossible, because it simply doesn’t have it,” he said.
The government delegate has indicated that security is the basic pillar that supports and allows the development of any other right or activity, and therefore, the neighbors of Los Alcázares reward Benemérita with their affection, respect and admiration.
“The history of the Civil Guard in Los Alcázares is the history of the municipality itself. Or, in other words, the Civil Guard is the history of this municipality,” he concluded.
Lucas reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of the Interior and stressed that, since 2,018, the staff of the Civil Guard has increased by 340 agents.
Francisco Lucas has been accompanied by the Colonel Chief of the 5th Zone of the Civil Guard and the mayor of the town, Mario Pérez Cervera, whose city council assumes the works of improvement of the building to adapt it to the needs of the Benemérita, and which has valued at more than 200,000 euros.
The new headquarters, whose work will be completed by the end of the year, will have a waiting room, a statement taking office, a citizen care office, a Viogen team, an office for the post commander or a prevention and research area, among other units. In addition, an extension will be made on the back of the current building to house changing rooms for Civil Guard personnel.
