January 23, 2026. The government delegate highlighted this morning in FITUR the 114 million euros invested since 2020 by the Government of Spain in the Region of Murcia for the development of tourism projects and infrastructures in the Region of Murcia.
“The Government of Spain is committed to tourism, commerce and culture in the Region of Murcia. Thanks to these funds, invested directly or transferred to the Autonomous Community, it has been possible to develop programs for the improvement of the historical heritage with tourist use, for the support of markets and commercial urban areas, for tourist sustainability plans in destination or for the conservation, restoration and enhancement of the Spanish cultural heritage”, said during a visit to the Pavilion of the Region of Murcia at the International Tourism Fair.

In this sense, the Ministry of Industry and Tourism has allocated since 2020 65.84 million euros for 22 sustainability projects, 8 million euros for digitalization, 34 million in aid for BIC for tourism use or five million in direct transfers to the Autonomous Community, among others.
“They are very diversified aid that has reached practically all municipalities, communities or associations and many tourist establishments,” he concluded.
