16 October 2025. The government delegate visited this morning the Civil Guard Headquarters in Lorca, where he welcomed 45 new agents who join this Company and will allow the number of patrols per month to double.
“We welcome these new agents who will ensure the safety and tranquility of all the neighbors and neighbors of Lorca. In this way, the Government of Spain once again demonstrates its commitment to the security of the municipality and to the Civil Guard itself,” said Francisco Lucas.
In this way, the degree of coverage in the Lorca Company is 97%, and that of the three main positions, Águilas, Mazarrón and Totana, 100%.
These 45 new agents join the other 45 in internships incorporated last July, which will serve in Lorca during the next year.
The government delegate has highlighted that, since 2018, more than 350 civil guards have been incorporated in the Region of Murcia, reaching a historical figure of 2,200 agents of the Benemérita.
“We have made a lot of progress, but we are not satisfied, and we are going to continue working so that the Region of Murcia remains, with a crime rate 3.5 points lower than the national average, one of the safest in Spain.”
Francisco Lucas, who has been accompanied by the Colonel Chief of the 5th Zone, has taken the opportunity to know the facilities of the Corps in the city and has thanked all the civil guards for their responsibility, commitment and vocation of public service.
