- The government delegate has met with the president of the CHS to coordinate the management of the avenues in the hydraulic infrastructures of the Segura Basin
March 6, 2025. The delegate of the Government met this morning with the president of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura, Mario Urrea, to be interested in the two hydrological alerts issued this morning on the Rambla de Las Moreras and the Rambla del Albujón and coordinate the management of the avenues in the hydraulic infrastructures of the Segura Basin.
Mariola Guevara has asked the population to avoid unnecessary displacements and to exercise extreme caution in critical areas such as the Rambla de Las Moreras in Mazarrón and the Rambla del Albujón, in Pozo Angol. “We must avoid crossing channels and displacements in areas where the orange warning persists due to rain, following the information that we are providing all the administrations, whose work is perfectly coordinated,” he said.
After the meeting at the headquarters of the CHS, Guevara reported that although the accumulated water level is not alarming, this morning a controlled unpacking was carried out in the Azud de Ojós and indicated that probably another one should be carried out in the Cierva reservoir in the coming hours.
The Government delegate added that all the services of the Government of Spain are at the service of the emergency, highlighted the absence of incidents in the State road network and highlighted the work of the Civil Guard, National Police, Civil Protection Unit of the Government Delegation and all the personnel of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura and the territorial delegation of the State Meteorology Agency.
“The situation is changing, and although the forecasts point to an improvement, I ask citizens to remain permanently informed through official channels,” he concluded.
